The school of the future. Today.

A team of young italian teachers is creating a New school. Situated in the cities of Carpi and Modena our specialities are wide - ranged: Elementary and high School classes, University classes, and various language classes. We would like to introduce all foreign visitors who are visiting our website to our language school. We know that a huge number of English speaking people travel to Italy every year, to study, to work, or simply for a holiday, and we think most of them would like to learn the basics of the Italian language. Many of them would love to improve their elementary Italian or achieve a higher level of fluency. Well this is just the best school to do it in because we have the best and the most determined mother - tongue teachers, and beacause we believe that teaching should be a passion for those who train, and a pleasure for those who are trained.

Yes, we do! Have a look at our classes, choose the one you're interested in, and get all the information. Alternatively you can e-mail us, and tell us exactly what you need or ask us anything you'd like to know about our classes, our school and our teachers. Click on e - mail@athena at the top of this page and then again on one of the two adresses that appear. Your e - mails will be answered as quickly as possibile.

If you have already planned to come to Modena, or Carpi, or somewhere nearby, then e-mail us and we'll help you with your accomodation and provide you with all the necessary travel information. If you're planning to go somewhere else in Italy, have a look here and you may find some reason to add Modena and Carpi to your "Italy Must - See list".

If you're flying from the U. K. we're just a two hour flight from you: you can fly for cheap from London - Stanstead or Dublin and touch down at "Giuseppe Verdi" Airport in Parma (only 40 min from Modena) or at "Ridolfi" Airport in Forlì (60 min from Modena). We're just round the corner!

We have time for you; but not only time. We have knowledge.And we have passion.

 

Italian Language Class Elementary level If you would just like to "warm up" a little, and learn the basics of our language, so that you can order in a restaurant, reserve a room in a hotel, or ask the taxi driver to take the shortest way to the airport, this class is what you need. We'll teach you the fundamental rules of pronunciation, grammar and syntax, and give you the most necessary vocabulary. During the class, you may enjoy our visits and trips to some of the most beautiful places in our country, such as Venice and Florence. At the end of the class, you will get your Diploma Magistrale di Lingua Italiana proving the level you have reached.

Italian Language Class Intermediate level This class is for those who already know the basics of Italian but would like to improve their conversation, enlarge their elementary vocabulary, and learn not only to speak but also to write a text correctly. This class is also specific on pronunciation, morphology and syntax. During the class, you may enjoy our visits and trips to some of the most beautiful places in our country, such as Venice and Florence. At the end of the class, you will get your Diploma Magistrale di Lingua Italiana proving the level you have reached.

Italian Language Class Advanced level We're getting really serious here: with this class you will become a "real speaker". During this class, you will not only join your Italian lessons, but you will also take part in Italian - taught classes on other subjects of your choice, so that you immersion will be full. You may enjoy our visits and trips to some of the most beautiful places in our country, such as Venice and Florence. At the end of the class, you will get your Diploma Magistrale di Lingua Italiana proving the level you have reached.

Italian Language Class Business level This class is specific to technical language: you may choose from different fields: Economy, Engineering, Chemistry, Music. You will attend your Italian lesson and take part in Italan - taught classes on subjects regarding the field d specialisation you have chosen. You may enjoy our visits and trips to some of the most beautiful places in our country, such as Venice and Florence. At the end of the class, you will get your Diploma Magistrale di Lingua Italiana proving the level you have reached.

Italian Literature Class This class is open to speakers of all level: you can choose between English - taught lessons, if your Italian is elementary or less, and Italian - taught lessons if your Italian is fluent. The class will introduce you to the classic and modern authors of our literature, from its medieval beginning to contemporary writers and poets. You may also enjoy our visits and trips to some of the most beautiful places in our country, such as Venice and Florence. At the end of the class, you will get your Diploma Magistrale di Letteratura Italiana demonstrating the level you have reached.

Italian History Class This class is open to speakers of all level: you can choose between English - taught lessons, if your Italian is elementary or less, and Italian - taught lessons if your Italian is fluent. The class will introduce you to Italian history, and will be divided in three subsequent stages. The first will focus on Roman History, the second on medieval and modern age, and the third on contemporary age. If you wish, the first stage may be enriched with some elementary Latin language lessons. You may also enjoy our visits and trips to some of the most beautiful places in our country, such as Venice and Florence. At the end of the class, you will get your Diploma Magistrale di Storia Italiana proving the level you have reached.
